November has been a crazy month to keep up with the blog, but we have had so much fun in preschool! Here are some of our activities over the last two weeks.
November 7th we worked on letter names and sounds connecting with our names. The kids had their own cups which we filled with different items connected with the sound. They also traced each letter in their name while saying the sound.
Geo-boards were a hit as the kids made different shapes with rubber bands and then played!
In art we painted sunflowers!
November 9th we started our sensory alphabet! By the end of the year each child will take home their own set of alphabet letters to play with at home. For the first 3 letters we used Q-tips to dot them!
We worked on fine motor skills in Math as we buttoned pieces of felt to make snakes
And my favorite activity for this day... Ribbon Rings!
November 14th we started our thankful tree. We read books about being thankful and then added leaves (or painted hands) onto our tree for everything they were thankful for. We will continue adding onto our tree this month as we find more things to be grateful for.
Learning numbers with legos!
Science.. Will it sink or will it float?
The kids had a blast making hypothesis and then experimenting!
Wanting more sensory we pulled out the beans again for fun :)
November16th - Sick Day
The morning of preschool Micah got sick so we decided to cancel preschool to be safe. I spent the morning scrubbing down walls, doors and anything else I could think of to make sure it spread no further!
By the afternoon Micah was feeling a little better so I pulled out the pumpkin I worked so hard on and did our pumpkin-cano with just Micah and Charlotte. Lets just say, it was a HUGE hit!!
